As a football recruiting freak, I love high school football almost as much as the college game. I wish there was something similar for the lower classes, but 6A is the best by far
Brad! Thanks man! It's been awesome having folks like yourself following along with us as we kick things off this season. We left the game (5atexasfootball.com, then 6atexasfootball.com) 10 years ago and realized there's still a big void for quality content around something so many people love. Just trying to fill that void the best we can to make the season that much more enjoyable for all of us to follow.
Regarding the lower classifications, it's always a possibility. Our expertise has always been the top classification, but the elo rating system is easily scalable if you have a decent dataset of past scores. As you can imagine, we already have a list of things we'd like to work on this offseason to improve this operation as it exists today.
This site is awesome! Thank you for what you do! I do think Prosper is going to beat Allen to secure the better D1 seed for that district. And I thought that before watching them get drilled last night, but definitely now. The only thing I worry about is that Prosper hasn't played a tough team in a month while Allen has had two tough games with Guyer and Mckinney going into next Friday. Should be fun though regardless, and I look forward to watching it in person.
Technically, 26-6A final standings are still in doubt outside of just Drip/LT. If LT loses that game this week, there's a chance Bowie could upset them in Week 11 and LT would finish in 4th. Crazy to imagine.
